is there a way i can make it so a part of any shp is transparent, like on a building? I have an idea for a new fence like the laser fence where theres a transparent energy feild of like a green or blue color between the posts

i meant to have like a transparent COLOR work.. im not sure if its possible but i have some ideas

I don't think it's possible, transparancy is only possible for animations isn't it ppl?

Because any image is a square, there HAS to be a transparant colour (0,0,0). but, there no such thing as real transparancy the way Skaterkid means it. At least, not in TS. However, there is this translucency setting for animations only, with makes the WHOLE image more or less transparant

hmm, yai thought so, but heres my idea... look at the attached pic (i just used the base of the laser fence as an example) imagine that the space between the two purple is filled with the shadow color.. ok, so when you build this, there will in a way be a transparent darkened screen that cannot be passed through, now i havent checked any of the coding, but is there a way to modify the color of the shadows? therefore you CAN have it to work

i don't think there's a way to modify shadow COLOR , but maybe there's a way to change shadow opacity.
