Ok, I have two problems now:
1. I made the Pyramid of NOD buildable, but it's invisible on winter maps. Any idea how to fix this?
2. I can't get the new sounds work. I placed them in the TS dir - didn't work; I placed them in expand02.mix - didn't work; I placed them in ecache02.mix - didn't work; I placed them in sounds02.mix - didn't work.
I found only one way: extract sounds.mix from tibsun.mix, place the files inside sounds.mix and replace the old sounds.mix with the new one in tibsun.mix. This works and doesn't make the game crash. But this means if I want to release my mod with the new sounds I have to upload my tibsun.mix - it's about 70MB. Any ideas how to get the sounds work?
Don't tell me to edit the sounds.ini, I've already done that.

Well for one it prolly has somethin to do with the snow frames, it may not have them coded in. So just add the regular frames, as the snow frames or make new one's. (Leave me alone if it's wrong I don't do art, anything, I just here this kind of question alot. #Tongue)

Uhhh, you guys might be leading him down the wrong track a bit... Truth is, all structures have snow and temperate images (which explains why there's frost on structures in snow maps)... And if a structure is missing its snow image, then it will be invisible in the snow. Westwood left out the snow image for a few structures that were never meant to be placed in snow, however, the good news is Blade made some snow images for a few of these structures, including the Pyramid of Nod if I remember correctly, even incorporating nice looking frost into them.

If someone could kindly post a link to blade's little hole-in-the-wall TS and RA2 resource site, I'm sure it would help our friend out a lot.

For the sound problem, I ran into it too. AFAIK, there is no other way to make the sounds work than by doing what you did.

I know now that it has no winter image, I've checked the mix files. So I have to add the new winter shp. How can I do this with expand02.mix? Is it possible or I need to edit the tibsun.mix? I hope not, couse in case it I have to edit tibsun.mix there's no reason to finish the mod, who will download a 70MB mod?

weird but you can put sounds in ecachexx.mix ... trust me it works...
