What are HVA files used for? I know you need them to use voxels in Tiberian Sun. And I heard their was a HVA editor of some sort. Usually when I make a new voxel I just get a HVA file from any other voxel and copy it and use it for the new voxel I made.

Yes, there is and Karreman used to host it in the old times. I believe you can find it in Stusworld (old freewebs if still exists).

I dont know if you can also find there in TibEd´s site, but it wasnt made by Koen...

The HVA can't have much important as (for the most part) you can chop and change them between units. I think it controls animations for the voxels (the mammoth mk2 legs for example) but I'm not sure on that.

Stusworld "2" still excists, so does Stusworld "1" http://stusworld.150m.com and there is a hva editor there(SW 2).

One of a kind is right - HVA is used as an animation info for voxel, but also acts as a 3D placement info for voxel - thats why you can't just copy tanks hva for turret -- turret be on the same Z level as tank.
