Alright so I figured Final Sun would just recognize my custom rules/art ect. files and allow me to make a map with my new units JUST LIKE BEFORE?!?
But no, that would be too easy! So Please show to noobie how to do this.

Note: I have gone into FinalSun.ini and set SUN.exe's path, but still no dice

All help is appreciated

Well, FinalSun checks your registery entries for the installation location of your Tiberian Sun folder. So, the problem could lie in there. Regardless of the path you specify in your FinalSun.ini it will check the registery entries. If it cannot find a registry entry it falls back onto the FinalSun.ini

Is your mod in another folder? Do have Tiberian Sun installed?

your mod doesn't run from it's own exe does it? if it does by chance then tell finalsun to look for your mods exe instead of sun.exe.

i'd have to guess it's one of Joshy's reasons and can't currently think with my tired brain as to what else may cause it to not recognize your mod stuff if it doesn't fall into one of the listed possibilities.

Regardless if he specifies his own exe path it falls back on the reg entries. Plus it looks for SUN.exe which is retarded. FinalSun has so many idiotic functions in it. >.<

Get back to you asap

*sigh* nah all of my stuff is setup correctly, it was Windows Vista's fault (again, again, again, again...)
I had to run it as an admin because vista is a nazi and won't allow it to scan for files without admin privileges, WTF? I'm the admin...

Anyways, thanks for the help, I probably woulda given up
