Hello all, (Again) some of you may or my not remember me.. But i am Tazzy, also known as "Taz0Snipz"
I used to hang around this place ages ago.. I show up, now and again. I used to make Novice maps Laughing One or two which are in the the Big map pack Download thingy.

Im not 100% sure how dead TS+TSFS is or if it is at all, but for some reason i had the urge to start playing it again, and along side the urge to play was the urge to make. Normally i make maps for self use, as im bored of all the standard maps that come along side the game.

Well weather game is dead or not, or if people are intrested or not i started making a new one.

The screen shots are not of finished product, they will change/have things added.

Feedback is welcome, Good or bad.

Crash sez:
TIB
ON
GRAS

You've done some good work with the cliffs, and overall the map is starting to look decent, close to the style of Westwood's finer maps.

The road going straight up on the 1st pic looks odd... as if it's twice the size of the other roads, and as if it was made by cutting and pasting pieces together just to get that wider road.

All roads will be edited later on Smile

Also can i have some help, I wish to give the map a "Dark feel" to it, So the lighting needs to be dark but still be easy on the eyes... But i'm having a great deal of hassle finding the right settings,

Can anyopne help or know of some numbers to place into the right fields to make the map feel More "darkish"? And if they can, tell me the Ion storm lighting to match it?

Im havign so much hassle, maybe im just dumb... lol

You can give the map a pretty dark ambient lighting, and place invisible light posts around (on hills, cliffs, wherever they would be natural). You can also put some alphalight posts near settlements and next to roads.

For a dark map, the ambient lighting should be more or less 0.5. Blue should be the primary colour, so make it 1.1 or more, drop green and red well below 1.0. For Ion Storm, try values that are close to these with a slightly lower ambient value, since all coloured light will be omitted.

Note that some buildings and overlay (walls, Tiberium and such) don't react to the colour of the lighting and may appear out of place if the map has too stark, colourful lighting. Also, Ion Storm will remove ANY coloured lighting and only keep the brightness, so whatch where you put those invisible light posts!

I recommend you to check this out.
