FS Hell's Crevice (2)
Subject description: 31st map, released it a couple days ago on tibweb for WW birthday thingie
Name: FS Hells Crevice
Map Maker: Ixith
Map Size: 90X75
Players: 2
Theatre: Temperate Mutated
Info: This map is a fairly mutated and deserted area. There is an abundance of tiberium pits and veins however, the green tiberium is worth roughly half of what it is normally worth but the growth and spread is a bit faster. Blue Tiberium on the other hand is worth nearly double its normal amount making it much more worth the harvest...but it is very limited and only has 2 sources of renewal. You'll find that green tib is also created through the many meteors that scar this battle map. This will be my 31st release...so have fun.
Story: Hell's Crevice, once a nice sight seeing area in which you could take the crevice road and be astounded by the vast canyon walls and the tranquility of the lands. But now if you wandered through it you'd probably just end up dead though maybe if you're lucky you'd get to see one of GDI's awe inspiring orca transports fly over head...well the kids might find it exciting..but shame on you if you bring kids here to such a desolate land! Anyways, the infection of tiberium on these lands has made it a fairly ripe battle field for the commanders of war...

Are you sure the tiberium changes work? I once tried to make a map with extremely fast growing and spreading tiberium, but nothing changed.
Afaik are the [Riparius], [Vinifera] etc sections not read from map files. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings

well to be honest i didn't watch it really all that closely though i'm pretty sure the value changes on it are effective as that's what i was mainly looking for with the changes and looking for when testing the map...the want of making it grow and spread a bit faster was mainly due to allowing the tib from the meteors to spread and get bigger quicker.
Also i would have figured it would read those sections considering you can add in the 3rd tiberium and change it's color and what not on maps via the map file. hrmmm _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)

I've tested it again on a testmap and the whole [Riparius] entry was ignored.
Also with color NeonBlue, the Riparius stayed green.

I tried now a [Vinifera] and [Aboreus] section and both were ignored too.

They are read. Of course they are. Look at any mod map, and you will see, that the value/colour has been changed. The only thing is, that sometimes you have to add the list, again. Like:
works too. I once saw a map, where spread and growth had been set to 1, it worked just as fine, though at some point the tiberium would stop spreading, but I guess thats a known bug (which could be solved by reloading, but since they are all online maps ...^^) _________________

ah, i got it work too.
It's really necessary to add the [Tiberiums] list too. Without it, the changes aren't used for the different tiberiumtypes. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
Updated the download with a new one. It now includes the Tiberium list in the map file thus the spread and growth now happens faster and the values are there too of course.
I also added in the unit lighting thing i usually add in to darker maps so that certain units don't stand out as much.
