CCCIII: City Overload [3]
Zero18's entry: 7th Place

Detail: Could of done with much more here and there. For the most part, the maps detail feels like you just chose random structures from the sidebar and just randomly started placing them everywhere, some structures such as Sears Tower are also placed incorrectly. In terms of detail, this map doesn't hold a candle to your Desert map you submitted, which is a shame. It's almost hard to believe that they were made by the same person. However, not all areas of the map are poorly detailed, some areas are nicely detailed.

4/10

Layout: Overlooking the detail issues, the map actually has a relatively good layout. Overpasses and a good number of choke-points offer various tactical opportunities.

6/10

Lighting: Not too bad, but nothing overly special. The ore fields were too vibrant in my opinion. There isn't much else to say.

6/10

Gameplay: The map does play well despite the downfalls above. There are some interesting features and the AI does play quite fiercely. If the map was more detailed then it would also be more enjoyable. You eat with your eyes as well as you do with your mouth. Never-the-less, it plays well. I suggest fixing it up based upon feedback and re-releasing. Smile

7/10

Triggers/Effects: Triggers are interesting, consisting of "Superweapon Riot Forces", I also enjoy civilian cars moving around the map. Once again though, the lack of sound effects hurts your score. Your other triggers for the most part though earn you some points in creativity.

6/10

Overall - 31/50

This map isn't as good as your other submission (Heatstroke), but it does have some of its own elements that make it a good one. The main problem with this map is your detailing. Some more attention to it and better placement of civilian structures would have given you a much higher score. On a positive note, you still managed to score higher than 25.
