Heyo.

When I try to save my skirmish games and then try to load them I get an instant IE and crash to desktop.

When I save campaign missions and load those I get no issues whatsoever.

Any ideas on what the issue is and how to fix it?

Check your [Animations] section in rules.ini

You may have forgotten to add some animations to it. I had this problem a year ago too. It was because of a missing animation in the list mentioned above.

Wouldn't that result in an IE whenever you start the game?

Also, while I'm not sure it will help any, here's the except.txt

No. You also get the famous savegame bug, when you add any animation after 707=INVISO and forgot to add the firestorm animations first to the list.

The UMP does that by default, to prevent such annoying modding mistakes in the first place.

I have UMP installed, it's the first thing I installed.

What about an art.ini entry makes it important to have it in the Animations list in rules.ini?

Should I just double check all the art entries and make sure every single one has a rules.ini entry in the anim list?
