A long time request
It's been a long time request by many TS modders for a remake of the main menu logo. I did upload a cleaned up version at one point and was asked to make an HD one. It is not an easy project so I've been working at it little by little. This is a work in progress, I will post updates as I add menu, logo, and glow effects.
The final product will be released twice the size of 1080p.
Looks really nice, but it screams Photoshop, from what it's worth you could do it in 3D in a whole lot shorter timeframe _________________ Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun ,Red Alert 2,Renegade, Command & Conquer 3,Tiberium and Tiberium Wars and Westwood related image & video archive

Since i'm mostly just doing nothing i could help.
Are you familiar with vectors(shapes in PS),Adobe Illustrator?
Are you going for a exact remake or something more modern in the end?

I'm not going for an exact remake, just the same idea. The original must have been modeled in a 3d program to be used in the intro video. I can also tell the texture used for the chrome edging is a specular and bump map.
Edit:
Here made the glowy parts, hope they are useful
Wanted to do them in Illustrator but it got really messy.
Added my old ones as well, donno maybe with a few tweaks that one might be better. If you do use that use the layer effects from the new one

Oh jeez, Westwood's lazyness never ceases to amuse, they just adapted from existing materials where possible than make stuff from scratch. Seen it all across in so many things, be it sounds, effects/textures... QUICK_EDIT
Most if not all games will use stock textures for some things. It'd be pretty insane to send out photographers and take thousands of texture worthy images for every new game. QUICK_EDIT
