I've been at this for a few weeks and I just don't understand how to do this.

I'm trying to make a bomb that when dropped will turn all troops in a large radius into viceroids.

I tried using the code from the toxin truck to make the large clod to spread out but the cloud pattern stays the same and disappears.

Also it destroys stuff when it blows.

I just want a large gas weapon

Please Help

Yeah you don't understand the underlying issue besides lack of coding understanding.

Singular particles can not have radius outside of single cell that do the  feature that you want and frankly methods to try assure every cell is affected in large radius are either not doable (technical...) or terribly laggy for visceroid conversion purposes.

Up to radius 10 it works quite lag free and the DTA MAD Tank even uses a radius of 15, though then it does indeed cause a bit lag every time it fires. But the lag lasts only for a few frames until the particles are gone again.

My imagination got the better of me..For I was expecting a multi-missile style explosion animation with multiple vice.shps raining down and bursting forth into a glorious mess of tiberian sprinkle confetti and toxic gas raining down upon a hapless GDI infantry settlement turned baby visceroid birthday party. Smile

Well I read a post in the tutorial section I got it to work in a much better way.

Using the tutorial I now have it set up so that when any refinery is destroyed it releases a gas cloud [I used the toxin truck detonation].

Now when infantry come in contact with the gas they are turned into viceroids but then these viceroids attack infantry and turn them into baby viceroids.

This is so cool because it acts like a plague.

Just for fun I created a new superweapon, The Vicia Genom.

Ha, Ha, its just a viceroid for the Nod thats really hard to kill.

Just target one soldier thats inside the enemy base and watch the fun begin.
