I'm looking to do a video tutorial series on OpenRA, in addition to Overwatch content. I could use any input you guys can offer. I might look at doing a series on modding the TS Client and Ares eventually, but I figure OpenRA is probably better in general.

Good idea!
OpenRA modding tutorials will come in handy.

Great! This is exactly the thing I would hope to find when I start with OpenRA!

Thank you all for the support. I've decided that while I will do some individual tutorials depending on what people want, I'm going to primary make this a tutorialized documentary series on a custom mod. Basically walking through how I go about developing my mod. I'll probably mod something and then do a video going over what I did since debugging and errors don't make for good videos. What I didn't show in my latest episode is booting up and actually showing that my mod is working, relatively speaking, in OpenRA.

The TS client is currently being entirely rewritten, with the new version's release planned for the autumn. It's going to change many current keys, while adding more capabilities and making the client more convenient to mod. So if you want to make a video tutorial on modding it one day, I suggest that you wait for the next version first.

That's interesting news, I'm looking forward to working with it then. Although while I did say I might be doing a series, it certainly will be a while before that happens given I'm spending my time right now working with OpenRA. I like the feel of the actual C&C games even with the TS client doing most of the menu work. OpenRA just feels a bit sluggish at times for some reason although my test speed with OpenRA is feeling pretty good actually.

I was originally considering doing a general C&C editing guide starting with the TS client and such and moving on to YR with Ares. It felt like a thing that could be valuable to the community given my experiences when I first tried modding but I just decided that the OpenRA platform is just has too much customization and I believe it to get a wider audience, such as it is. Although to be honest, I don't really know on that last part, it's just a guess.
