Hello everyone!

Welcome to the C&C 3 Editing Forums! This forum is the place you have to ask modding help, post your modding doubts and discuss new techniques to bypass the hardcoded limits of the game and recruit members for your mod. Use the Mod Announcements to tease and gather fans for your mod.

For those who are starting to mod the game, we recommend the following tools:

-> C&C 3 Mod SDK: This tool is a must have to edit units, AI and every XML related things from your mod. It also brings a max exporter and some other modding tools from EA.

-> C&C Mod SDK Required Files: This set of tools was gathered by Mastermind and was used on EALA to test the mod SDK, so we are pretty sure that the mod SDK will run with them.

-> NotePad++: This advanced text editor edits everything, including XML files. It includes several features to make text editing much easier and it's totally free.

-> OS BIG: This tool is useful to browse the .big files from the game. Recent versions available at the SVN allow you to save .BIG files with refpack compression as well. Note that they are still under development and on testing stages, which means that they aren't as stable as the released ones. To find out how to download it from the SVN, check the PPM FAQ.

-> C&C 3 World Builder: This is the tool to create maps.

-> TibEd: This is another tool that integrates XML editing with the build tool from EA, for those who are learning to mod the game.

-> CodeCat's BuildMod.bat Tool: This tool also aids the user to use the EA Build tool in an easier way.

Also, watch these forums for the latest Jonwil's tools, which allows to edit interface, textures and only God knows that comes with the game.

Remember that we hold no responsability for these tools. Use them at your own risk.

Anyway, start your engines and have fun!

Place it on Documents and Settings\*YOURNAME*\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\mods\

(Note: create the mods dir if it doesn't exist).

Each mod should be a directory inside the mods directory.
