Right...

1) How do u make your cliffs look better and not "sharp" with black patches

2) How do you make the shore look better instead of leaving the odd blue block that makes it look cheap

3) When i created a new unit i followed a simple tutorial and the advice of others. The unit works and its invisible. I did everything everyone said in the art.ini file and everything.

Please help!

ok ill try to answer these.

1) first off what do you mean by black patches? can you show us a pic? cause im not quite sure what you mean by that.

2)i think the odd blue block thing is that you are placing water with autoshore off. You have 2 options here. A) turn auto shore on and use that to place your water with shores. or B) place your water then place your shores by hand using the Shores thing in the dropdown terrain menu where you find other things like cliffs, waterfalls, and etc.

3)my only guess to why the unit is invisible is that in the art.ini you have it named and listed as something like [NEW] then in the rules.ini you have it listed/named as something else like [NEWI] and didnt put the tag Image=XXX on it. The names that are in the rules.ini that look like [NEW] have to coincide and be identical to whats in the art.ini unless you use the Image=tag which you can then choose what you want your unit to look like by using the name of something in the art.ini. so E.G.
[NEW]
Strength=200
Armor=none
Prerequisite=GAPILE

and so on won't work unless in the art.ini theres something named [NEW]
however this would work:
[NEW]
Image=SLAV
Strength=200
Armor=none
Prerequisite=GAPILE

by adding the Image=SLAV iv made that unit use the graphics of the Slavick unit. so just replace the SLAV with whatever you have made in the art.ini

i hope that helped and i hope i can help more when you show the pic of your cliff problem.

Marble Madness is your best friend when it comes to Cliffs and Shores.
Copy it to your finalsun directory and lunch final sun. When using this addon you will see what bits you should use to make those maps look sexy

O noes fix those cliffs - that's an awful example #Tongue

3)if a unit is working properly, but is invisible, it's got to have an incorrect tag name.
Double check your code names, Image= tags, file names, and placement of the files (shp only shows when it's in an ecache##.mix)
