Red Zones are barren, Tiberium infested wastelands. Large numbers of Tiberium creatures can be found here, so watch out. These areas do not recieve much normal sunlight. Instead, there is an eerie greenish tinge to the landscape. Stay too long, and Tiberium meteors and ion storms will begin to strike.

Edit:The lighting on the map has been improved.

this looks like it will be a fun map to play, but eye candy is lacking..
there's lots of flat regular ground
not much LAT
not many hills
not many trees, roads or towns,
not much lighting except for green on the tiberium trees
tiberium life will probably be a big annoyance, as there is a LOT of it..

Each base has one entrance, which will be good only if you like two-hour-long bunker games

My rating= 5/10
I'd say this map is equal to a RMG map, and probably best if you happen to have a lot of free time to burn, and want to waste it all playing skirmish..

Practice makes perfect though, keep on truckin.

Yeah, I usually play a lot of skirmish. I tried playing online during the tournament, but I got a compatability error for some reason. When I tested it, the AI tried to turtle, but the two lower starting points were nearly wiped out by visceroids and floaters. So, yes, you could bunker, but it is going to make it much harder to win.
