Entertainment Explosion.
Entertainment Explosion hosted PPM for over 10 months. It went online about may 2002, but it was officialy online in July 27th, 2002. A site made for all games Dougfunie could cover. I joined it in the beggining as a forum moderator and later, I also helped with tutorials and helped to promote it a bit, but not as enough as it needed. In August 14th, they started to host PPM. EE has a lot of contents, a big potential, but lack of propaganda. The situation became worse when the forums went offline for almost 2 months due to lazyness of the host to restore the database. Unfortunatelly, it really killed its activity and Dougfunie's motivation to continue it. So, the site will get offline on July 1st and PPM will change host (and url as well).
They have loads of maps for TS, several cool modding tutorials that I wrote, blacklist, downloads and a walktrhough to the campaigns. As for other games, it also had a huge contents of Renegade and usually some basic info of other games not limited to C&C universe.
But, before the site shutdown, there will be a Tiberian Sun tournament there. So, here's my 'today's tip': Go to this topic with 11 friends and sign up into this tournament. Don't worry, if EE doesnt keeps the results for a long time, we will. If you dont have 11 friends, dont worry, as long as there are 12 people to start a tournament, it will really happen on the days 28th and 29th of this month. So, please, cooperate to this event... for yourself have a lot of fun in 2 weeks .
Just to end my news, I really would like to send a special thanks to Dougfunie for hosting us. We really had a great hosting at Entertainment Explosion and a very honest and dedicated host. We are currently searching for a new host. I'm not gonna confirm yet where will we be hosted, but before the closure of http://ppm.entexplode.com you guys will know... And... what are you waiting for? Go to EE right now and get into the tournament... maybe some activity gives him some motivation ... maybe... give it a try...
