Subject description: Which mission to should I attempt?
Yeah, so I want to get off my butt and actually try some mapping for realz. I have plenty of good ideas but not the drive to complete them, though I want to change that. Sifting through my ideas, I'd like to figure out which people like the most.
Mission: Exodus
Faction: GDI
Primary Enemy: GDI
Type: Taskforce Evasion
Theater: Arctic most likely
Details: Well this one has a resemblance to C&C4 without all the crap. Basically you are a rogue GDI commander that believes that GDI has grown arrogant after Nod's splintering into many factions. Therefore he concocts a plan to hijack the recently rebuild Kodiak and use it a command ship to prevent the splinter factions of Nod from regrouping and more importantly, kill Slavik (though, in the story he has vanished and leaves Nod in decay, which is why they are splintered, so the commander believes that he is a ghost manipulating Nod into tricking GDI) This one is an escort type mission, getting you to the Kodiak intact.
Mission: Snow Angels
Faction: GDI
Primary Enemy: Civilian Millitia
Type: Base Capture (you need to capture an objective)
Theater: Arctic Duh!
Details: This may be tied with the other GDI later, but you have come upon a town that has much anger against GDI for not lending help during relentless CABAL and Nod attacks. Your goal is to calm their anger against GDI. You will have a small civilian ally to assist you, your objective is to capture a church that seems to be the head of this rally against you.
Mission: Reawakening
Faction: Nod
Primary Enemy: GDI
Type: Base Evasion (As in you have a base but must keep a low profile)
Theater: Temperate
Details: You are a Nod commander that was close to Slavik, now that he is gone, you are seeking to unite Nod to stand against GDI as Kane would've wanted, as Slavik would've wanted. You believe that the only way to reunite Nod is through a show of force, to meet this end, you plan to reactivate (after reprogramming) what's left of CABAL's cyborgs. You must prepare an assault on Research Center Bravo and secure the cybernetic control core then use the rebooted cyborgs (which are stored in pens) to destroy a GDI control force that is incoming.
Mission: Manhunt
Faction: Nod
Primary Enemy: Nod
Type: Base Capture
Theater: Arctic most likely
Details: It is desperate times in the Brotherhood, Slavik has disappeared, and Kane has yet to return, Slavik is our best bet to rally the Brotherhood back. If anyone has information on where he is, it would be Oxanna, unforunantly, she's locked herself in a safehouse surrounded by elite forces. You must force your way in and capture her safehouse.
Collectivally, I intend, if this works out, to work on a series of "Aftermath Cronicles" which are random missions with a general story that happen after Firestorm.
A few mapping tips would be helpful as well. QUICK_EDIT

I'd say Manhunt or snow angels _________________ I am authorized to send out the TMP Studio, PM ME IF YOU WANT IT And check this out, these were sent to me for help with terrain and zdata help along with TMP Studio/Builder
Interesting missions. Would be cooler though if say, Oxanna hadn't just locked herself away in a house or something on your last mission idea. The GDI one sounds interesting, it might be useful to make it a larger mission incorporating the angry civilians as well. You take matters into your own hands, but have to do so without causing any casualties on both sides or something (obviously you do need an enemy to attack though). _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Well the last mission is pointing out how she isn't doing crap about Nod. The main problem with merging the two GDI missions is that Exodus has to do with more of an escape theme, it wouldn't provide any room for a second objective. QUICK_EDIT

idea
Ok, after watching Where Eagles Dare, Escape from New York, Escape from LA, and I have a thought..... So Oxanna isn't doing anything to prevent the troop advancement of Nod. The upper management is not happy with her. She has insisted that she has been doing her best. Some of upper management has called her loyalty into question. Troop morale is at an all time low.
I have seen buildings and such named for people on the team and have come the conclusion we are missing a hero from the game. Not necessarily a multi-player hero that you can build.
Upper Management knows this and need to reverse this or all will be lost. Banshee reminds Upper Management of a forgot warrior, Lord Aro. (Seing how he is from England it seems fitting.) Lord Aro was banished some 10 years ago (the details of the incident are sketchy), but just knowing that he was there atop the battlefield inspires the troops and at the same time instills fear in the enemy. The Northern road heading out of Packard leads to a well placed prison. The prison sits looking over the Frigon Ocean (just making city and ocean names up, not sure of world layout). Escape is virtually impossible, but UM has given the task of freeing Lord Aro to Oxanna. She, along with 4 others, must free him and return him to the pick up point..
Look at map, something I drew up as a thought.
The yellow represent cities
The red are roads
The blue is ocean/river
The grey is medium troop movement
The magenta is high troop movement
The green is the cliff area
The cyan dot (I remember this color name from programming on my old Commodore 64 computer) Is the starting point for Oxanna.
Oxanna could start off with 1 sniper, and have to reach each city to gain another team member (a demo guy, engineer, etc) _________________ I am authorized to send out the TMP Studio, PM ME IF YOU WANT IT And check this out, these were sent to me for help with terrain and zdata help along with TMP Studio/Builder
These are Tiberian Sun Missions we are talking about, not some PPM Roleplay missions. Last edited by MT on Tue Mar 23, 2010 1:22 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
Yeah, as far as Oxanna is concerned, she is virtually in hiding with a handful of loyal troops, unable to really do anything since Nod is fractured into per say 10-20, maybe more, splinter factions. You want to question her about Slavik's whereabouts, but you have to get through her idiot guards. QUICK_EDIT

Where Eagles Dare
Quick little map to show something _________________ I am authorized to send out the TMP Studio, PM ME IF YOU WANT IT And check this out, these were sent to me for help with terrain and zdata help along with TMP Studio/Builder
Well, the thing is that your not controlling Oxanna, your fighting her. More or less she has gotten delusional, thinking every Nod force is an enemy. QUICK_EDIT
Ah, well then how about her being hold up in the white area on my "map" pic and you have to eliminate her. but follow same idea, get to each "city" and pick up a new recruit, then go after her. The city circles aren't really cities, more like area with a few buildings like little areas of inhabitants. _________________ I am authorized to send out the TMP Studio, PM ME IF YOU WANT IT And check this out, these were sent to me for help with terrain and zdata help along with TMP Studio/Builder
I've decided to work on Exodus, anyone interested on working on another of these maps or a idea your own PM me. I intend on putting together a small campaign but no gurantee since I'm no genius mapper, also, there may be questions posted up in the mapping disscussion soon with the many dilemas I'm certain to encounter.
EDIT: I had an idea for the second mission in this campaign so if anyone would just like to be apart of this or get experience PM me and I'll explain the idea. (It'll be about mutants btw) QUICK_EDIT
describe what you mean by 'evasion game' cause that could alter my opinion on which option i vote for.
also whenever i think of Exodus i think desert areas...but i believe an arctic snow area could make good for it too if done well. _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)

then evasion type mission is my opinion, though i'd have it so you can pick up some recruits here and there as you progress perhaps. _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)
