PPM Community News (September 19th)
Subject description: Rewire, OS SHP Builder, TS Tech Level War, D-Day and more.
Hey everyone! Our upcoming news system is helping me to track the news inside PPM and a lot of interesting things happened recently. Except for D-Day's and Tech Level War news, everything happened today. So, here's the pie:
Added a first official RW map "First Encounter"
Added missing animation for CY
Added missing frames for GDI Service Depot
Added missind animation for Advanced Power Plant
Added missind animation for Obelisk of Light
Added some missind animation for Refineries, still not full
Restored original price and prerequisites for GDI Service Depot
Restored original price and prerequisites for Stealth Generator
Fixed animation for GDI Hologram
Fixed EMP Cannon weapon. (Works different from TS version)
Fixed Devils Tongue weapon (Works different from TS version)
Added missing Misc nimations (water explosion, gathering animation, dig)
Invisible TickTank clone now can't be gathered form crates.
and a lot of minor fixes.
This revision fixes an interface problem that prevented users from resizing images bigger than 500 pixels or resize the picture in a size that is more than 500% bigger than the original size.
Also, there is a new save option at the preferences that forces shadow frames to be saved as compression 1. Use it only if you create buildings (height > 255 or width > 255) with custom foundations that Ares allows, because the RA2 engine gets bugged with compression 3 buildings of this size... at least with the ones generated by XCC Mixer and OS SHP Builder.
Compared to the 3.36, it also has Mirror, Flip, another Resize method and a quick fix for SHP (TD) files which was never tested by anyone (at least I've never got any feedback on it). But I'd be very happy if somebody ever tested the SHP (TD) files saved by this beta version in game (on TD or RA1).
-> Tiberian Sun: Tech Level War 0.1 Beta has been released. This modification for Tiberian Sun, from TiberFCSL, promotes the constructon of expensive tech centers to level up your army. And, of course, it also reballances the game and adds some new units. Grab it HERE.
-> D-Day is ocasionally receiving news posts from Mig Eater with pictures from a lot of units that will be featured in the game. The latest efforts are done with units from the United States of America. Here's some of them:
M51 75mm Skysweeper
T8 105mm
Dodge 1 1/2
M38 Wolfhound
Check for more HERE. And there's also a bonus set of tanks that he did for fun, based on World of Tanks in this post. QUICK_EDIT
