Ares 0.B has just been released and it's available for download. If you followed the development thread, you'll know already that this is one of the smaller releases.

The prerequisite system has been expanded to support units for every Generic Prerequisite Group, ammo and weapon reloading has been made a bit more customizable, as well as self healing.

There's more, though: Spy effects for stealing super weapons, fake structures, allowing medics to use deploy functions, and a few fixes.

While I'm sure it doesn't always seem like it, your efforts are appreciated! I look forward to summer vacations where I will hopefully have time to make use of what you have there. Those ammo upgrades look tasty. Smile

Infantry as prerequisites!! Just what I needed to make a generals type "hacker" thanks! Very Happy

EDIT: Getting an odd bug with infantry as alternate prerequisites, whenever I'm training a single infantry which is dependant on a previous infantry being trained, if another unit (from WF or airfield) gets built, the infantry unit will be refunded and I get a 'new construction options' speech.

Thanks for the release Alex!!!
I've been playing around with it a bit in my spare time since release.

Still haven't got to playing around with everything I've missed lately, lot of cool features and fixes!

I got 2 Questions though. Initial Payload (Troop Crawlers) and AMMO changes.

Unrelated to ARES specifically, is there a way to make Initial payload troop crawlers unable to deploy? Otherwise Cost being higher effects things like score "future bounty logic" etc? otherwise this is pretty cool, saves time micro managing in game.

Also when I tried it out with my "infantry with reloading ammo" inside troop crawler they don't seem to reload inside crawler. Not sure if this was new "Could be an old existing bug" or related to changed ammo logic. Tried taking the infantry in and out of crawler. They reloaded outside of it, and when inside the crawler, they would initially fire like normal till depleted of ammo. When I get the chance I'll try older versions of ares to see if "Reload inside Crawler" logic was broken before 0.B

Thanks a bunch MustaphaTR. Can't believe I missed that. Got a small time today to mod, and try troop crawlers with infantry with reloading ammo. Seems they don't reload ammo in ares 0.b 0.a or ares 0.9. Not sure about older versions though. Could someone check vanilla yuri? I will when I get the time if someone else doesn't beat me to it. Hopefully this isn't hard-coded crap..

Vanilla Infantry Ammo Reload is way too much buggier and not working as supposed. It is fixed in Ares.dll. Transports are possibly still a bug and i think they should be fixed too.

Pretty sure you'd have to change the flying locomotor if you want that effect. Flying units in guard mode would just stay on the airport until enemies come in range.

Glad this project is still being developed, nice commitment AlexB.
