Nice organic feel even in some of the technological buildings..
I think you're really getting that feeling that you're aiming for in Delerium
I'd add some veins and stuff on some of em, to give it a real organic effect

yea..you know I wonder with all these FPS, that have monsters and guns. What if you saw a monster and like any FPS you start shooting at it but something is wrong and it only makes it bigger with each bullet? what then...o_o

Well the "tekno" buildings are already brimming with detail. adding more much make it even more cluttered. but I can see a balance between curves and hard angles. ''veins'' would be better off for the organic structures since pipes and wires fulfill that role in the design.

Yes. these are old sketches for Delirium. some are years old...strange isnt it.

I have notebooks full if it..and tons of word files on old story ideas.

these concept arts are good. correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to be a fan of the grotesque-horror genre huh? something similar to the likes of Silent Hill for example. I kind of wish that the said genre had more following. Idea

I try to shy away my designs from being too similar, despite the inspiration. I don't want Delirium to end up looking like Silent Hill RTS. as that alone sounds cool though. #Tongue

but I do like to think abstractly when it comes to their concepts. it has some psychological/metaphysic symbolism tied into the design.

seen any of the new screenshots from Silent Hill 5?

Silent Hil 5? no, I haven't had the pleasure yet. I'm not too keen on console games. But I like the Silent Hill franchise. In fact, I'm eagerly waiting for the Silent Hill 2 movie.

Some people find Silent Hill lame as a horror movie. But I find Grotesque-Horror genre as the likes of Silent Hill tons better than... say, Texas chainsaw massacre, hostel, etc...

As for your concepts, may I suggest that you add more sharp things to the creatures... to make them appear more deadly (looks at Red Pyramid).

yea these are pretty random ideas, some from year ago when this mod was at its first iteration. "fairytale" mod. Wonderland vs. Oz. idea. eventually I moved into writing up of my very own. I should round up the first shards of my mod. not sure if anyone remembers these.

The Original Announceation. The beginning for me.

Aside from the "Greyling" most of these concepts feature neutral creatures or what I dubb "happyland" creatures. A metaphor for distractions..and such things. idyllic obsessions that dwell in this fragmented environment. some are of alien origin, not created by the dreamer who owns the habitat...uh oh.

I don't get to play the games much since I don't own any new of the new fancy consoles. I have the original boxy grey playstation. and a few used games. not much...>_<

Definitely check it out, really nice art. I like how flesh is seemly like clay, how these creatures can appear sculpted in such bizzare beautiful way.. it not just some bloody ugly drooling bloated monster that must be shot to death, but something that makes you think..its a work of art it means something beyond the initial threat value of what it is "Monster".. and thats what I want do here.

Here are theSilent Hill V scans Check em out. my favorite new monster is the SplitHead.

I consider Silent Hill one of the only movies to pull off capturing the essence of the game. yea its not gonna satisfy purists. but it wells well done compare to the dozens of craptastic attempts of Hollywooding video games..(Doom 3,Bloodrayn..etc.)
