Welcome to the Novus Ordo (The New Order). Our mandate is simple. Further the Theran race, technologically, no matter the cost.

Seen here:
Citadel
Initiation Center
Assembly Plant
Singularity Core

I don't like the building textures... they remind me too much of forerunner stuff in halo, but the glow - sweet jesus it's sick.

I've actually been sitting on this design style since late 2008. Its mostly anoldExodus design (the Citadel, mainly), and slightly inspired by Seraphim from Supreme Commander.

Reminds me more of Half-Life 2. Nice stuff, though.

You sure they're not the Combine? Because if they are, I will certainly be making a point of requesting synths. Those things just look badass.

I'm sure of what they are, and what they aren't, gentlemen; a unique, inspiring 3rd faction who have mysterious origins and powerful uprisings.

daTS, one of the important things about word order in English is that the item before the comma is generally considered to be the one having the sentence following it applied to it. So you described the Combine here as being not a unique, mysterious faction. #Tongue

Can they have striders?

Let me make this perfectly fucking clear. I have not owned nor played or even looked at Half Life 2. Enough with the HL2 shit Wink

Orac. I'm not too well versed in my own language, sadly #Tongue And no. No striders.

Too bad that such a glow is impossible to have ingame.

As said before, the models are nicely detailed. Though the texture could be a lot better. It looks like untextured.

btw, you'll have a hard time to switch the lighting for every other object in the game from SW to your East lighting. Especially voxels which have a hardcoded shadow/lighting direction.

I was worried about that. the .SHP's won't be hard, especially things like trees and rocks, which can just be flipped. It's the terrain that is gonna take so long... and it seems like nobody is willing to do that. I may just make the shadows longer, but from the same direction.

The glow will be done using a combination of rendering effects and alphalighting. Notice how I try to keep most of the glow within the boundaries of the .shp. I'm sure to keep it that bright I'll need to make them animation-based though.
