Hey all! I made a Twinblade-style heli for our mod and for you to use Smile

This is my first voxel and it is made with MagicaVoxel, then imported to the VXLSE with the help of some custom code (it should be in mainstream VXLSE soon, but if it's not - feel free to PM me so I'll give you my edited VXLSE). Thanks to Starkku and HydraCorps members for all-around help regarding the voxel!

(VPL is darker than the stock one)

It's animated using section swap for being able to use it as turret with fake body. In case you won't - first section is meant to cast shadows and is painted with color 0 to be transparent, make sure your VPL is fixed so color #0 stays the same (#0) in all 32 sections!

Art, cameo, vox, vxl/hva included. Hope you like it Smile

the model and texture looks nice.

However I don't like how the rotors are directly attached to the turbines. There would be no way enough space for a gearbox and that middle section usually houses the biggest and most complex part of turbines.

Thanks for feedback! Well, I'm not an expert in heli structure, so I just used original RA3 art as a reference when modelling, and considering it's fictionality I think it'd be fine if I leave them as-is. After all YR setting is not that realistic #Tongue But I'll surely pay more attention to that if I were to do more helicopter voxels.

Excellent. Could share the VPL file also.

@Moderators: This could be moved to Voxel sub-section.

No, it can't. You should use something like invisible #0 color circle that casts shadow instead.

Well, I didn't have YR VPL at hand, so didn't share Confused You just open a VPL in Starkku's editor and manually assign color #0 to every section's color #0, and that's it - your #0 colored voxels aren't rendered ingame now.

Attaching the vanilla VPL file with color indices set to palette background index on every page/section.
