So I've been studying Allied mission #1 which uses a lot of paratrooper drops, but I can't seem to get the special sauce to work. I'm including the relevant screenshot of the dialogs...

I've tried copying this on a NEW mission, but there's something referenced by the trigger that I just can't choose/add when I do it --- circled in yellow. The dropdown only allows me to choose the trigger I am working on, and I'm not sure what it references in the original code, and self-referencing seems wrong.

What am I missing? Or is there another way to fire this that's simpler?

Does it even need the trigger action?

I'm confused.

Setting up a paradrop is easy... Unless you are trying to do something crazy. This will show the most simplest paradrop, and the text below covers the basic things you need to change, change more if you want different things to happen.

I have attached the simple test.map with the trigger explained below. The map is set up for multiplayer/skirmish, so player at 1 will get 1 GI every 50 ticks.

There is one waypoint placed on the map (waypoint 50)

Trigger
 "Trigger options" tab
      Type: is for is you want the trigger to fire once or repeat. (The drop down with show the text) In the example its set to loop
      Make sure the trigger is not disabled.

 "Events" tab
      This is the event that triggers what happens. In this case, I believe it's after 50 frames or 50 seconds... I can't remember.

 "Actions" tab
      Teamtype: I have selected my team
      Waypoint: I have selected the waypoint I made this is where the paradrop will take place.

Task
   Simply what is to be dropped, I believe tanks can be dropped as well.
Teams
   House: this will determine who owns the units that are dropped. (Player @ A, I used for multiplayer for player at 1st start), if it's for AI you should use a script.
   Task force: Is what is dropped
   Cargo plane: this is the only check box at the bottom that needs to be selected.
