____

The Honest John surface-to-surface ballistic missile is perhaps the crown jewel of Scavenger weaponry. Developed in the 1960's, it is ancient among weapons and is treated with mythical awe. According to recovered archives, many missiles were manufactured and saw use by many nations until they were phased out in the 1990's, only to infamously end up in the hands of the Brotherhood of Nod who utilized them throughout the First Tiberian War. While all of them were lost to history, a famed archaeologist known only as The Safekeeper was able to uncover the aforementioned archives which contained schematics of the weapon, among others. Using current materials, only the most skilled mechanics are able to rebuild them, as well as building specialized trucks used to carry and launch them on the go. As devastating as they are against even the sturdiest of structures, they can be easily shot down by anti-air defenses and the trucks carrying them are rather slow and poorly armored, requiring protection from other units.

Notes:
-This unit is unique to the Wasteland Scavengers subfaction
-Cannot be pilot sniped
-Original voxel by Tacyarts

Nice work, I mostly replied to this thread because of it being about the S.S.M. Launcher tho. Feel free to ignore this ramble about FROG/SCUD/ICBM's and my toughts.

This looks more like some sort of a SCUD Launcher like in RA1 & RA2 rather than a S.S.M. (Surface To Surface) Launcher that they call it in C&C1 & C&C Renegade (the Media Hut has a voxel version for the Renegade one over here:
https://ppmforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=16554 )

RA1 used a 9K52 Luna-M/FROG 7 (Free Rocket Over Ground): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9K52_Luna-M
I am not sure what the C&C Renegade S.S.M. Launcher (just an objective in one singleplayer mission and potrayed as a SCUD/ICBM Launcher) is based upon but it looks like some Russian SCUD Launcher much like the one in C&C Generals.
The NOD ICBM Launcher in Tiberian Sun (final missions) also kinda looks like some Russian ICBM Launcher.
The C&C1 S.S.M. Launcher is based upon the M993 Carrier Vehicle that the M270 MLRS (GDI Rocket Launcher) uses.

I am not sure but I think the Honest John Missile itself on the truck/launcher looks slightly too large compared to its real life counterpart/s so I would not call it Honest John unless it has its size lowered little.

I have not really looked at what vehicles you have much but I personally think a M270 MLRS would fit little better or in addition to this because you already have arsenal from GDI for the Forgotten (mabe I am biased because I like the M270 MLRS). Also there is always the slightly obscure option of these two: https://www.kmweg.com/home/artillery/autonomous-howitzer/donar/product-information.html and https://www.kmweg.com/home/artillery/autonomous-howitzer/agm/product-information.html that is similar to the M993 Carrier Vehicle but with an artillery mounted on it.

By real-life counterpart you mean this right?

If any the missile is just a little longer than usual. The rear half is actually this truck, the front being, well, a jacked up police cruiser.

The aesthetic for this subfaction is based on ragtag wasteland bandits and thus their vehicles are meant to look improvised. One of the other subfactions, the Warriors Of Tratos, are the ones with the militant remnant look which Nod's M993-based SSM Launcher would fit better in. Alas, they use the Juggernaut (which is itself just the Juggy's turret on a 8x8 truck) as their tier 3 artillery so yeah.

Yeah that is what I meant, and your S.S.M. Launchers missile looks like something sized more like the RA1 Soviet FROG-7 missile in size.
