Is there a way to add mix files to the video section of Mod Creator?  Whenever I tru it adds them to the mix section.  

I wanna replace some terrain that I found on a forum.

Why are you using that program versus just packaging all your files in a zip/rar?

Probably wants to make it easier for users to switch between mods.
It's a nice idea, having multiple mods in the same TS/RA2 folder, yet none interfering with one another.
Saves valuable drive space, for one.

Its convenient and users dont have to do anything.  

If I cant get it to work like I want it, can I just throw everything in a mix, (Cameos, SHP,s, VXL, HVA, Sounds, Voices etc...)  Even other Mix files inside ?

You could write a batchfile to move the files from a sub dir to the game, run the game, and upon exit, move the files back.

It would be trivial to update with the files your mod includes when you add new ones.

XCC mod launcher requires the Westwood registry entries. This requires a separate "patch" for TFD to be set up and I don't think Origin has a solution for that. If you have a player who tries to run it upon the XWIS stripped RA2YR build, then that won't work either nor can it use Ares.

Mixes in mixes were already possible to do but prior to Ares, expands couldn't include audio. Today with Ares, you can package all your assets into one giant mix, slap in (an instruction for) the appropriate Ares version and tell the user to extract the files to the YR folder, and if (s)he wants to uninstall the mod, just delete the mix itself. Ofcourse, the "bat" or the Rampalauncher-based solutions are also viable.
