The upcoming Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection will be released for the public on June 5th, however, members of the famous Community Council have been playing and testing it for a long time already. And recently, they have started posting content on the Steam Workshop section for this game, as you can see in the pictures below (if you excuse my Brazilian Steam).

As you can see, most people (Tore, Neogrant, and few others) posted maps, except for CCHyper who posted mods that rename units and change the main menu user interface and pchote (aka Sleipnir) who posted his own DLL file that enables OpenRA/RA2-style wall placement. And honestly, the mods from Hyper and pchote are the ones that interest me the most, because they will be better samples of how to properly customize the game when Steam starts to allow us to download them. At the moment, we can only subscribe to eventually download them when the horde gets access to it.

And keep your heads up for PPM and remember that our tool OS .BIG Editor will allow you to browse and generate the .meg files that you will need to handle to create mods like the ones from CCHyper. We will have more updates for OS .BIG Editor in the next days to make your modding experience more confortable.

Will this increase the likelihood of a remastered modding section in PPM?

Has anyone got word about the map format remaining the same or some import tool to convert? I'm sure I can find some of my cheesy RA1 maps haha!

After checking system requirement make me want an option to choose between HD and 4k or even no video at all video before download the game consider the game need 32 gb space (and I'm sure it's cause by video file)

or atleast some one need to make low res video mod real fast since many player like me still prefer HD over 4k mornitor. XD

The likehood of a Remastered modding section at PPM is 100% absolutely confirmed! I'm just waiting to get closer to the release, so I will put it online. And we will also have some sort of "integration" to Steam workshop as well. I have already coded something to extract everything that users submit into it to allow our users to post comments about it on our forums Wink. We will have that running soon.

So far, members of the community council and devs are the ones with the answer for it. That includes CCHyper, Nyerguds, pchote and few others who may browse this place occasionally.

The Steam Workshop has been available to us for quite some time. Razz

It would be to your advtange if you started making maps using an existing map editor (CCMAP, RAED, EdWin) that can be loaded into the Remasters map editor Wink

@Banshee:
I would be happy to write up some basic tutorials come June 5th if you would create the forum.

I will be pretty curious to see what I can do with mapping... I did receive my steam key... I am pretty excited to download and give it a go, when I am able to.

I see so it isn't the same format...

CCHyper: do you know if they'll be including additional civilian content above what's in the original fo rbetter map variety?

I'm mainly thinking trees, but also houses...

@CCHyper: I am very interested on your tutorials. I'll create the C&C Remastered Collection modding forums tomorrow (june 1st), so, any help to make it more popular will be appreciated Wink.

You can expect traditional INI file modding, and XML files. Although I can't go into detail.

@Banshee: Sounds great! I hope Jim will also update the public on if they will be producing modding documentation or not.
