Anyone else having issues where the game is stripping ini  changes on custom maps?

Inis can be downloaded for ra1 from here

http://ra.afraid.org/html/downloads/ini.html

It works similiar to TS / RA2 ini editing on maps e.g.

[WEAP]
TechLevel=-1

Would disable war factory as a build option

The official lunar battlefield special map has ini changes as well.

I found a workaround by publishing the map and making a copy of the files before renaming one digit.

But yeah if you publish to Steam it strips out any ini codes you have made to the mpr file

Ideally the map editor should have an ini section like the old FA2.

Presumably it's done to stop ppl cheating online with modded maps, or steam is just stupid...

I think it's the latter, I remember FA2 did something similar and kinda lolz as some of the "official" maps are modded as well.

It would be nice to not have naval yards on landlocked maps.

I managed to work around this by copying the steam generated map and changing one digit in the filename, hopefully, it will transfer when online.
