I've recently upgraded to Windows 10 and wanted to get back into playing/modding C&C. Trying to install SHP Builder was mostly successful until the very end, which nets me an error screen with the message:

'Cannot create file "C:\WINDOWS\OS_SHP_BUILDER0.ico" Access is denied.'

How do I fix this?

Have you tried executing the installer with administration privileges?

Yes, and it still showed the error. But after hitting "cancel" on the message and opening SHP Builder the program opened normally, no errors AFAIK. Weird...

It isn't supposed to create the SHP_Builder icon in the Windows directory, as far as I know. Did you actually try to install the program on C:\Windows? If you did, please, try somewhere else. If it is in any Program Dir, you'll need administrator privileges. For anywhere else, it is not required.

I installed it to "C:\Users\*username*\CnCTools\SHP Builder"
