crappy title i know...
my question, did "cncnet" project and "ts-installer" from cnc-comm
patch something specific so it works under x64 OS ?

(i ask this, 'bcoz original TS crashes for me under x64, where on x86 it worked flawlessly)

Yeah, sorry.

IIRC, games from my old The First Decade dvd don't work on win 10 / they crash immediately. I don't have my older TS discs anymore to check, but they would probably CTD too.

I assume that the old freeware version of TS and others aren't exactly patched for x64/win 10 systems.

And the Steam edition of TS that actually works, got patched by EA and does not crash anymore, but still need unofficial CnCnet fan patches, from what i've seen.

And those fan patches:
- introduce CnC-DDRAW
- fix config files so the TS runs smoothly on modern OS's

see that is curious
if EA patched it, they had to have access to source code

yet they always claimed they lost TS and RA2 source code
hence why we will never get "remaster" of them
