Weird selection menu bug

Hello all

This is probably related to Windows 11 being a stupid *****. Anyway funny story, I can not select additional AI in the skirmish menu.

I click and nothing happens. I can select the country and alliance and starting pos. But the AI difficulty just doesn't react. The tooltipp at the bottom appears.

I do NOT have it on my laptop. Only on my PC. They are pretty much identical I am using the same software and stuff.

At first I thought maybe the buttons shifted due to windows rescaling. This sometimes happens even in newer games. But nope that is NOT it.

Has anyone encountered this before and knows how to fix? Its annoying. I can still run the game and test things out but am now limited to a single brutal AI lol.

Never heard of this before, typically all the buttons break or none at all.

Just in case I feel like I have to ask if you're playing on a map that allows more then 1 AI...?

I do know about 2 player maps. There I can't change the difficulty. On Bay of Pigs or City under siege, a 2vs2 map, I can not select additional AIs or change difficulty of the one AI that is there.

It used to work. Come to think of it maybe windowed mode broke it... but no it used to work perfectly fine in windowed mode argh.
