Open Source Voxel Viewer 1.8 released!
Subject description: Multiples units on screen!
After years without a release and being considered 'discontinued', OS: Voxel Viewer rises from the death with a neat multiples units on screen feature. For those who aren't aware of this tool, OS Voxel Viewer is a tool that can be used to preview voxels, placing them in a scene with a ground, sky, etc. Stucuk has finished the OS: Voxel Viewer 1.8 and sent me the code during the week. Today I had time to take a proper look at it, tweak it a little bit and pack it.
This version does not include the changes seen in the quick patches 1.71 to 1.75, because we lost the source code. I'll try to place some of the changes from these versions back to the program in a later time. Here's the changelog:
1.8
- revisions by Stucuk:
- Added: Support for 4 or 8 units in a scene, with distance between them set by the user.
- Added: Ability to have a fixed size opengl window (As in one which doesn't resize to the screen size but can be set to fixed sizes, which is useful when you want to position the screen before taking a screenshot/animation)
- Updated: Average FPS is increased. When moving the camera, or doing anything which constantly changes the actual scene will make the effect null for that time period.
- Updated: Some interface stuff moved to the bottom of the screen.
- Fixed: White bug on images removed
- Fixed: Light Ground & Sky option now has no effect on the units lightning.
- Fixed: Unit's Spectrum no longer has any effect on the Ground and Sky's lighting.
- Note: Some features from 1.7x quick patches might have been ignored.
The latest source code is always available at the OS Voxel Tools SVN (together with VXLSE III)
If you have a C&C related site, we welcome you to mirror it in your site without asking permision. Just credit Banshee and Stucuk for making the OS Voxel Viewer. Last edited by Banshee on Mon Mar 16, 2009 4:19 am; edited 3 times in total QUICK_EDIT
Good work but... dont you think it would better if your team spend time to create a lepton tool in HVA Builder? _________________ "I'll be staying strapped cuse my mac-eleven make my nuts bigger" QUICK_EDIT
All hail the Mighty Stu! a great surprise now why not he show up and post once in a bit?
Could be because he doesn't generaly update any of the apps he originaly created anymore. He only checks PPMSite.com every month or so(Hence the gap between this post and the last post).
