Cost: 1200
Prerequisite: Workshop, Tiberium Facility
Role: Base assault
Strengths: Extremely durable, fast
Weaknesses: Close range attack

The maulers are Forgotten who have undergone massive tiberium mutations. Their body size has greatly increased and is covered by a thich layer of tiberium crystals. Their mind has been heavily damaged by the mutations, and they are becoming more animalistic over time. Eventually they turn into mindless beasts who are as much threat to the Forgotten as they are to their enemies. This is why both the Forgotten and the maulers themselves want to be used as weapons for the cause before they are completely lost. The maulers are highly respected among the Forgotten. The only Forgotten unit that can be considered heavily armored, they are very effective base assaulters as their body can take large amounts of fire. The maulers are also quite fast on their feet. They can inflict decent damage to armored units with their fists, but infantry are often able to avoid their slow punches. Like all tiberium creatures, maulers can heal on tiberium fields. They can also detect nearby stealthed units and buildings and are unaffected by EMP based weapons.

You might want to use a slightly different SHP... I can still see the YR brute in there Wink
Interesting idea regardless.

I tried to get rid of the brute look by making the skin color solid, so it looks like it isn't wearing any pants Laughing This unit probably took the most time to make in the mod, placing those crystals correctly for all the facings was a real pain. If it's of any consolation, this unit is actually useful in gameplay unlike the YR brute.
