Just posting some news i thought was worthy, it was mainly to let those who didnt know yet about the New Ultimate CnC Collection, but other stuff just get in as well.

Somewhere I read "ready for Windows Vista and 7" and I'm very sick of it because with every new version of Windows we have to make our games compatible with it! I'm sick of Microsoft shitting on gamers and game developers!!
I know that it's impossible, but I'd prefer every game released for Linux too, so with every new kernel this crap doesn't happen. And I wanna keep using XP till the last moment, and that moment is very near.
That's it. I'm pissed off with Microsoft and I wanted to say it.

You do realise that you're talking about games so old, EA doesn't even CARE about making a profit off them?

No one expects Windows to keep supporting games from ztyping '95.

Gamers that play classic games always care so I don't think it would be silly.
I. E. to play some games I'm forced to use WINE, a Linux program.

BTW, Valve is taking advantage by releasing Steam and the Source engine in Linux.

I don't hate Valve, I tried to say that I think it's a good strategy to release some of their games on Linux, that way Microsoft won't bother them nor us, the customers.

I'd actually say MS has been dealing rather well with compatibility, since most older games and programs designed for Win95 or even older OSs still work (TD being a good example).

Steam for Linux sounds interesting, but it needs some good games as well so I could seriously consider running Linux. And Linux lacks DirectX; while Valve could get L4D2 to run faster with OpenGL than with DirectX9, I won't think of them as equal until I see OpenGL compared with DX11 and a game with Crysis 2 -level graphics using OpenGL. And I like Visual Studio so much that I'd still be dualbooting Linux with Windows.

What's this ancient news about C&C4 doing here?

Not only do major companies not need bots to post things on random forums for them, they wouldn't do it because it would damage their image.

I just don't see why people randomly assume that anyone who posts random stuff is automatically a bot... Being a bot myself I find that very offensive.

Actually my location is outdated, but I won't change it because I tend to travel often between the Lahti-Helsinki axis.

Still, what you said is true, but you can't help cities for being such heat-generators.
Less emissions means less particles means less clouds means less heat store means less warm winters
