The Soviet Special Forces consists of two of the toughest elites, the VDV and the Spetsnaz, although both of them are only second to the fearsome Wolf Brigade of the Black Guard. Spetsnaz in particular are commandos usually used in more delicate missions, though they're more than capable of fighting on the frontlines. Their equipment may not be fancy, but their skills in utilizing them is what makes them dangerous. Their AK-74 Assault Rifles are effective against infantry, even so more once they gain access to hollow-point rounds, and their under-slung GP-30 Grenade Launchers can be used to destroy light armour, though they can also be effectively used on heavier vehicles. These weapons enable them to fight through any enemy resistance as they storm their base which, once inside, they can proceed to demolish structures with their C4 charges. If stealth units are encountered, their goggles enable them to see them. While much more resilient compared to their counterparts, the Spetsnaz's straight forward tactics usually get them into fire fights quicker, which can potentially end up becoming a fatal move.
