There is shoroud, but Fog never appears on CnCNet version of TS

This doesn't change if you enable the option Fog of War

It doesn't even change if you set "FogOfWar=yes" in the rules.ini yourself

Happens both in multiplayer and single player skrimish.

i have checked standalone mods that also use cncnet launchers such as dawn of the tiberium age and the same problem happens.

they all work like ra2 withoout fog which is a huge disappointment

Any diagnostic?

FoW has always caused crashes. It's not fixed yet afaik. FoW is disabled to avoid crashes.

any way to re-enable it for a modder, crashes or not?

dont recall it causeing crashes on single player TS

The problem should be fixed now with both ts-ddraw and cnc-ddraw renderers, but we didn't re-enable FoW yet though.

Will have to talk to dkeeton about it, he made some patches for it so it actually works even without the new ddraws we made, maybe we can enable it again on the next update.

We're going to have it enabled again on the next update, test build is here

IIRC it still crashes fairly quickly with other renderers despite that dkeeton's fixes made the crashes less common.

Doesn't matter to me, other renderers can be disabled to me, doesn't matter if not enabled on the official multiplayer version, just want a moddable CnCNet version pack that has fog...

FoW will be part of the next update for TI. It will only be available in single-player though, as the desync crashes are still very common in multiplayer games.

the other option is to disable drawing units under shroud, which can be made to look like fog of war.

maybe via
\github\ts-patches\src\easy_shroud.c
