Nice.

But the angle is wrong.

And where would anyone place it?
I guess Mental Omega could benefit from this as they have "space" terrain (it's just water for the lunar theater), but even then I can't see how they'd the station to good use.

Regardless, the angle you rendered this thing at is wrong for placement on ground in the stock RA2YR theaters.

Other than that, good job!

Thanks for the rapid reply and the encouragement ! XD
I plan to make some space units and buildings to add to the lunar terrain,so the Moon won't look so lifeless:)
And indeed this space station was designed to add to the"space" terrain in Mental Omega.I thought no one would discover that...
Seems I was wrong LOL

It's no secret MO is the only mod with actual "space" terrain Wink

I do wonder how they got it work tho, and why no-one else in the community has worked on such terrain Confused

The Lunar Terrain Expansion is public (and if you want to associate a mod with it, that should be Red-Resurrection anyway) and this fits well into it.

Good idea IMO.

Doesn't look bad though I'm not sure the lighting is entirely consistent with vanilla, but it's good to see space stuff.

Uhh no they don't, considering I made the terrain and use it in my own mod. There have been others too in the past, though don't think they were released. MadHQ also released his own space tileset.

I wasn't around when Omega's space-pack was released, and never knew who made the space terrain MO used; sorry Embarassed

MadHQ's space tiles from his SHP page have the issue that they were made for temperate rather than lunar, so some rework for all the tiles would've been needed.
Unless MadHQ made something else that was directly usable in lunar?

Anyways...
I'm not sure if you're aware of the issue and you cannot fix it or if you're not, but I need to place the space tiles manually rather than simply click "water" and then FA2 randomizing between the tiles.

You can probably fix it by changing WaterSet in lunarmd.ini to the space tileset. Don't think this is the right topic for this talk though.

Agreed, but I didn't want to bump that thread.

well uh, it's rendered with perspective which is kinda odd to see in an isometric game...

IMO it kinda works out for Lunar/Space Theater as its essentially a "Naval" Structure as it could also be handwaved as it rotated into that specific perspective.

@Atomic_Noodles, but YR didn't have such a term as perspective at all, did it?

I call it isometric 2.5D perspective. It's a mouthful, but it's unique to WW, us and our favorite game #Tongue

well first things first, you're confusing the meaning of a perspective as a type (i.e. isometric, orthogonal) with a perspective as a characterisitic of 2D image representation of 3D object which makes it feel natural to our eye, which I'm talking about. Orthogonal and isometric perspectives, or rather projections, don't have such characteristic and display their true dimensions.

>unique to WW, us and our favorite game
that's bullshit, my friend. WW didn't patent isometric projection, lol, there are tons of games using it.

Perspective on objects would be far more acceptable if they all had it, but because they don't, having one with extreme perspective distortion really stands out.

There are plenty of images, and renderings of the ISS that have little to no perspective, you should use one as the starting point instead.
