I have some ideas of maps I would like to make, but mapping is quite time-consuming and I have limited time. I would appreciate if you give me feedback, what maps would you like to see.

So here are some options:

- Experimental singleplayer map:  it will be my first SP map. I would like to experiment a lot by adding replaybility to SP game, such as having multiple ways to win, random enemies, units placement, buildings, objectives and start locations.

- 8 player big skirmish map with natural layout:  probably making my own map layout, using inspiration from real world location or playing around with AI generated terrain using some of tools such as World Machine. Then having it adjusted and balanced for TS gameplay. So far I have only made maps with somewhat artificial balanced layout but with natural looking details and areas in smaller scale.

- 8 player remake of Westwood's map:  I will choose one of WW maps and I will remake it from scratch, adding more details, triggers, lighting and expanding playable area as much as possible. Similar approach like in my last map  Blood River.

The poll will last 60 days from now.

All 3 options are good, you should do what you like. Could try SP map if you haven't done it before, as it gives more flexibility. May be stitch a small campaign from a few small maps.

It will be single SP map rather than couple of smaller ones. I wouldn't be able to make multiple maps on one shot. I prefer to jump between voxeling, shp painting or mapping Smile

I have already planned a layout of terrain and basic waypoints for SP map. I am currently thinking about map dimensions and other details before I start mapping in my workflow:
Code:
gameplay planning -> map layout -> basic mapping -> gameplay triggers -> testing -> balancing -> adding details and polishing -> final testing.

After finishing SP, I will probably remake Casey's Canyon map and expand it for 8 players.
