I, feel free to delete or move my message if in wrong position ( but i didnt found any place on the forum to post).

Is it possible to separate maps from other mods ?

When i search a mod, i have to go through a lot of maps...

Best regards,

JackYsback

It's definitely not in a forum restricted to finished work.

Anyway, I am leaving both together for now due to the Steam Workshop fetching script, although there is a high probability that I will eventually split both forums. As you said, it is hard to find mods inside hordes of maps.

And, yea, I've noticed that if I don't split them, I will simply not fetch mods. So, I'm splitting it now. The bot fetching script will soon be update to pickup them separetely too. Hopefully, mods will get more attention with this measure.

This doesn't only makes the search hard, but also it floods the "View posts since last visit" section for every guest/account.

Update: We have several news to share about what is being discussed in this topic:

- We have finished spliting Mods Archives from Maps Archives.

- I have a finished a new version of the Steam Workshop fetching bot that can fetch submissions in different pages. So, we should be tracking more content from now on. Mods should be much easier to track now.

- I have tweaked the View New Posts feature to not get posts from PPMNewsReporter. So, content fetched from Steam Workshop won't harm your navigation on these forums.

- I have given up of fetching the downloads from Steam Workshop. The reason is that our hard drives won't handle the demand. We need to be more selective about this. Sorry about that.

We are only dealing with C&C Remastered Collection. It works fine, although it still has some hiccups on some descriptions. Also, it just takes a small part of the description, because I don't want it to be too much aggressive with Steam servers by accessing the page of each of the 600 projects that it fetches separately.
