As the title says, how do I install RA2/YR in a flash drive?

I've seen a topic around here a long while back that does go into this, but I can't find it at all now.

Any help is appreciated. Smile

Tried it, and it asks for the disk.

I partially solved it by using Ares as a workaround. It works, but not how I wanted to. RA2 non-YR and TSFS isn't playable without cracks. It'll do for now. :/

Apparently, that alone won't do the trick.

It might run, sure, but only on the machine you installed it from.
I wonder if there is a file or two somewhere (maybe even a specific EXE) that bypasses this.

@TAK, that's strange. The game doesn't install any files anywhere else. It just stores some registry entries. AFAIK, the registry entries are only used by other software (FA2, XCC Tools, etc) to find out where the game is installed, and by game patches to find out which version of the game is installed.

TS was made free a decade ago, it doesn't need CD check anymore.

The .exe file the game installs with always requests the CD to be inserted regardless what files are installed. This is why, in the early 2000s, all you needed to do was swap the .exe file with the "no cd" crack even if the game says you need the game disk otherwise. As you may have guessed, you don't need the disk for anything.
