While the animation itself is created in 3D, since it was made solely for the sake of a proof of concept animation and wallpapers, I suppose it still fits here. I am still relatively new to motion design and After Effects itself so I would appreciate input from others to know where I could stand to improve. I have shared this with a dedicated After Effects community but in true forum fashion these days there were no replies, trying my chances at perhaps getting some feedback here as I know a few dedicated members are still lurking around (I appear every now and then, I just never have anything to say).

I'm not sure if it's just me, but the video quality itself doesn't seem to be at it's best, I'm narrowing that down to YouTube compression as the source file is of higher quality. Regardless any feedback or comments are appreciated

And a few wallpapers, for the scarce few that may be interested.

On one final note, most of the animations I make are solely proof of concept and examples of the kind of work I can do, sound design and implementation is indeed something I will work on for final products, but in terms of showcasing, I just prefer to show the animation.

I like how the texture has details.

Oh hey, that looks pretty good. The slow assembly, camera pan, and focus blur are nice touches. The only thing I'd change is how the object starts spinning faster in the end, it transitions from slow to fast too quickly. I.e. needs a more gradual acceleration.
