I have multiple ParaDrop-esque SWs, and each are restricted in range via Designators.

The problem, as usual, is how the AI handles things.

SW.AITargeting=ParaDrop results in the SW rarely firing, since the AI will often try to use it offensively and fail (sometimes it manages to fire in its own base and send the units on Hunt missions or something with similar effects, I really don't know).

SW.AITargeting=DropPod gets the troops dropped into the base, but then they mostly stand around like idiots, probably waiting to get recruited into an AI TeamType.

Anybody know of which Targeting doesn't fail and yet sends troops on Hunt?
I'm testing on my own with the other options but was wondering if anyone already made something similar and has fixed it.
Or ditched it, I'm not judging.

Your are probably best off making an AI script for the paratroopers with a very high weight so it has a good chance of firing after they have landed.

make the troopers a unique variant, so if you want GI's, make the [E1B] or something like that, link them to Regular GI's with GroupAs, and make them unbuildable. then have the AI trigger need as many as paradropped or higher to fire, make the team a recruiter, and that should make them do what you need.
