Aloha! There is a new version of Final Alert 2 SP released under the name Final Alert 2 SP 1.6.1. For those unaware of what is being written here, Final Alert 2 SP is a DLL that extends Final Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, the official map editor for Red Alert 2, and its expansion Yuri's Revenge. It adds new features and fixes bugs from it. Here is what we know about Final Alert 2 SP 1.6.1:

  • New Map Tool: Navigate to coordinate, can be translated by Menu.MapTools.NavigateCoordinate, more locolization tags could be found in the document
  • Fixed the bug that Taskforce window didn't translate message properly
  • ExtConfig : EnableMultiSelection defaults to true since this version. This tag is supposed to be deprecated in 1.7.0.

Hey Banshee

I don't know if you are the one creating new versions of FA editor but if you are, is it possible if you can fix this so that when the editor finds these kinds of errors, the player can just click on the error and the editor will take them to the exact location, so they can fix it.

Maybe even highlight the buildings that are causing the error with a neon green color ?

The coordinates in the error are visible and you can search for it with the new feature of navigate to coordinate in the menu that is available with this release.

I'm not the one developing Final Alert 2 SP. I guess secsome is the one doing it (I don't know his/her name in other communities).

When overlapping buildings get destroyed the game usually crashes, so the error is valid. The issue I raised is that the the invisible lamps can overlap without crashing, but FA2 still flags that as error. For that there's apparently some override list, but I haven't looked.

I have put a commented section in the patched FA2, search for StructureOverlappingCheckIgnores in FAData.ini.

i have an issue with my text trigger it doesnt show any options.
i did the whole ra2.csf shenangin but its still not working.
any sugeestions?
