Hi.

As title states really. I've updated to latest tib sun client (6.05 iirc) and am doing a playthrough of the vanilla gdi campaign. I captured Vega's dam base and was about to level the regulators with the artillery only to find the high explosive shells lightly popped and didn't shred terrain. Is this intentional? And can I change it back to original damage at all if it is?

Probably changed the deformation of terrain for "balance" reasons, this is bad IMO, also makes concrete more useless

I think, weither on the weapon or the warhead, you need to add:
Quote:
Deform = yes

I'll try this.

Although I'm not sure it will give back the same animation.

Sorry, it was Deform, not Deforms

There you have more info

Sadly no ´patch that I know of like Ares brough deformation back to RA2...

OK. So after a bit of experimenting here is what I've done.

I've tried deforms and deform on the warheads, unit deployed and unit undeployed and weapon. Still will not make any craters. Maybe its hardcoded for artillery to not crater?.... thats all I can think of.

I also remembered that the orca bomber shell is literally identical to the oe artillery shell, in appearance and damage. So I looked up the warhead code for the orca bomblet warheads (ORCAHE) and put it as the warheads for 155mm (artilleries primary weapon). The result?......... CLASSIC ARTILLERY BACK! ....... minus the cratering of course :'( . So a bit of a mixed bag.

Also, is damage hardcoded? Or is there an increaser for that?  I thought strength might be but looking at the reference that's for hit points.

EDIT! got craters working now. You don't want "deform=yes" I think that was confusing the ini file, just need deform=x%, and to have a low enough damage threshold value alongside it.

And scratch the damage question btw, it's not on the warheads it's on the projectile  doh!
