Subject description: I can't find the location of the .vxl files for Tiberian Sun on Steam
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Good morning Forum,

I have TS through Steam, and I've always been a fan of the series. Now, I'm trying to start making some personal modifications—nothing too extreme. I'm looking for the .vxl files (I want to use them as a base for new units). Could you tell me how and where to find them?

Thanks, guys!

You can find the vxl files in the local.mix file which is inside the tibsun.mix file within the Tiberian Sun game folder, to access the mix files you can use XCC Mixer.

Hi, I tried doing it this way, but I can't find them. I wonder if they are actually hidden.

Could you tell me an exact path? Sorry, but I'm a newbie in this environment.  ROFLMAO!!!

  1. Start XCC Mixer
  2. Browse to the Tiberian Sun game folder
  3. Click on tibsun.mix
  4. Click on local.mix
  5. look down the list for files ending in .vxl
